How HuMOLYTE Helps Chemo Patients

Mouth Sores. Nausea. Diarrhea.

You're Not Alone.

Chemotherapy saves lives. But it's brutal on your body.

Mouth sores that make it painful to eat or drink. Nausea that won't quit. Diarrhea that leaves you exhausted and dehydrated. These aren't minor inconveniences — they're the side effects that send patients back to the infusion center for IV hydration, force treatment delays, and make an already difficult journey even harder.

Most hydration products weren't designed for any of this. They were made for athletes, not chemo patients. HuMOLYTE was different from day one. It was built specifically to protect your gut and help your body get through chemotherapy.

Built From Scratch for Chemo Patients.

When the nausea, diarrhea, and dehydration hit, most people reach for what they know — Gatorade, Pedialyte, coconut water. It makes sense. These are the products we grew up with.

But here's the problem. Those products were designed for athletes and children with stomach bugs. They replace basic fluids and sodium. That's it. They weren't built for what chemotherapy does to your body.

Chemo doesn't just dehydrate you. It damages the lining of your gut. It depletes magnesium and potassium at levels a sports drink can't replenish. It creates the kind of GI injury that conventional hydration products simply weren't formulated to address.

HuMOLYTE was built from scratch with chemo patients in mind. Not athletes. Not children. You.

It combines a clinically studied ingredient found in human breast milk — called a Human Milk Oligosaccharide, or HMO — with a magnesium-rich electrolyte formula. Together they do something no sports drink can: they help repair the gut lining while replenishing the electrolytes chemo depletes most.

That's the difference. Not just hydration. Healing.

Exploring the Protective Power of HuMOLYTE Against GI Injury from Chemotherapy

HuMOLYTE protects against the GI Injury from chemotherapy

Gastrointestinal (GI) injury is a common and often severe side effect of many chemotherapeutic agents. However, a recent study suggests that HuMOLYTE, a supplement combining 2'-fucosyllactose and electrolytes, may offer significant protection against this issue.

In the study Wistar rats, HuMOLYTE was administered in drinking water for five days prior to the introduction of the chemotherapeutic drug Irinotecan.

The results were compelling: rats that received HuMOLYTE displayed markedly preserved intestinal morphology and experienced significantly reduced inflammation compared to those who only had drinking water. Notably, these rats also suffered much less from diarrhea, a common and debilitating side effect of Irinotecan.

The protective benefits of HuMOLYTE extended beyond Irinotecan. Similar results were observed when the rats were treated with other chemotherapy drugs, including 5-fluorouracil, doxorubicin, and cisplatin. Across all cases, HuMOLYTE supplementation consistently led to better intestinal health and reduced GI distress.

These findings highlight the potential of HuMOLYTE as a valuable supplement for minimizing GI injury in patients undergoing chemotherapy. By preserving intestinal integrity and reducing inflammation, HuMOLYTE could improve quality of life for those facing the challenges of cancer treatment. As research continues, HuMOLYTE may become a key player in supportive care for chemotherapy patients.

Five ways HuMOLYTE helps you get through chemotherapy.

HuMOLYTE Minimizes the ill-effect of dehydration from chemotherapy

Fights Dehydration Before It Sends You Back to the Infusion Center

Diarrhea and vomiting drain your body of fluids faster than most people realize. Left unchecked, that dehydration becomes serious — and serious dehydration during chemo often means an unplanned trip back to the infusion center for IV fluids.

HuMOLYTE replenishes fluids and electrolytes quickly so you can stay hydrated at home, on your own schedule. Toni — one of our patients — completed her entire chemo cycle without needing a single IV hydration visit. Her nurses were amazed.

Protects and Repairs Your Gut Lining

Chemotherapy doesn't just make you feel sick — it physically damages the lining of your digestive tract. That damage is what causes mouth sores, diarrhea, and the kind of gut pain that makes eating and drinking feel impossible.

HuMOLYTE contains a special ingredient found in human breast milk called a Human Milk Oligosaccharide — HMO for short. HMOs help repair and strengthen the gut lining that chemo damages. Think of it as patching the walls so everything else can work the way it's supposed to.

Replaces the Electrolytes Lost to Diarrhea

Diarrhea during chemotherapy doesn't just leave you exhausted — it drains your body of electrolytes faster than most people realize. And not just sodium, which is what most sports drinks and oral rehydration solutions replace.

Chemo-related diarrhea depletes magnesium and potassium at levels that Gatorade and Pedialyte simply weren't formulated to address. Magnesium loss in particular hits hard — it causes fatigue, muscle weakness, and cramping that make an already brutal treatment feel even harder to get through.

HuMOLYTE goes beyond conventional hydration. Its formula was specifically designed to replenish magnesium and potassium alongside sodium — replacing what your body actually loses during chemo, not just what's cheapest to put in a bottle.

HuMOLYTE promotes a healthy gut

Chemotherapy doesn't just damage your gut lining — it disrupts the ecosystem of good bacteria living inside it. That disruption affects digestion, energy, immunity, and how well your body tolerates treatment.

HuMOLYTE contains 2'-FL, a prebiotic that feeds the beneficial bacteria — particularly Bifidobacteria — that chemo wipes out. Think of it as replanting the garden after a storm. A healthy gut microbiome means better digestion, more energy, and a body that's better equipped to handle what's coming next.

HuMOLYTE supports the immune function.

Chemo suppresses your immune system. That's unavoidable. But a depleted gut microbiome makes immune suppression worse — because a significant portion of your immune function lives in your gut.

By repairing the gut lining and rebuilding the microbiome, HuMOLYTE supports immune function from the inside out. The HMOs and Vitamin C in HuMOLYTE work together to help your body fight infections and recover more effectively between treatment cycles.
