Dr. Sourabh Kharait Joins University of Arizona

We are proud to announce that Dr. Sourabh Kharait, MD, PhD, Founder and CEO of IGH Naturals, has accepted a new position as Associate Professor of Medicine in Transplant Nephrology and Medical Director of the Living Donor Transplant Program at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson.

In his new role, Dr. Kharait will help lead the medical center’s living kidney donor program while caring for patients with complex kidney disease and supporting the education of the next generation of physicians.

This appointment represents a return to one of Dr. Kharait’s core areas of medical expertise. His career includes transplant nephrology training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he also served as a clinical instructor and practiced kidney and pancreas transplant medicine.

Dr. Kharait brings more than two decades of experience in nephrology, electrolyte disorders, clinical research, and patient care. His work as a physician and researcher has also shaped the development of IGH Naturals and HuMOLYTE, a medical food combining electrolytes with a human milk oligosaccharide to support hydration, gut health, and patients undergoing medical treatment.

While Dr. Kharait takes on this important new academic and clinical leadership position, he will continue serving as Founder and CEO of IGH Naturals and advancing its research and product-development efforts.
